Elysium  (2013)

genre: Elysium (2013) is a film which shows lots of dystopia world which has made that way.In the year 2154, the very wealthy live on a man-made space station while the rest of the population resides on a ruined Earth.

key conventions: the sci-fi in this film is extraordinary with big space ships, planets , robots.
The film shows lots of views that look amazing when looked at carefully for example you can see a planet with rings orbiting it.

Target audience: The people that watch this film are really into 15+ movies because the film is not family friendly  and not childish for people that don't like kids films . The film will not be widely spread because the film is a action, drama ,sci- fi. film is mostly action and sci-fi.

Edge of Tomorrow (2014)

genre: Edge of tomorrow (2015) goes in with alien invasion and dystopia sub-genre.
A military officer is brought into an alien war against an extraterrestrial enemy who can reset the day and know the future. The motto live, die , repeat shows what the protagonist is going throw. distant future Sci-Fi some of  technology might be soon used this time. 

Key conventions: there are many key conventions inside this film. The exo suits which increases there strength. The futuristic helicopters look really acrobatic when flying.
the weaponry used look to be modern than futuristic.

target audience: the film looks to be 50/50 because if the protagonists a male and a female and the action is really high with explosions happening allot of times IMDb rate this film a 12a so teenagers can go and look at this film and enjoy it. The scale should be 14, 40 because of the action and people can relate to the movie for example the war.

Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)

Genre: guardians of the galaxy (2014) is a  film that includes action, adventure of science-fiction. A group of intergalactic criminals are forced to work together to  make shore  the universe from being destroyed.

Key conventions: There are lots of key conventions in this trailer. The opening scene shows the protagonist walking throw a carried door  electrocuting the henchmen then turns his face mask off  which is a ear piece inside his ear. In this film there is allot of advanced weaponry in this film for example when the bad guy was approaching with a lazier gun and the space ships are different to other space ships in different movies  because the protagonist's spaceship  is coloured red

Target audience: The target is mostly male because of the explosions and violence but the female can be for female views because of the strong female protagonist in the film. The movie rating on IMDb was a 12A which that the film was open to teenager. The percentage of this will be 60/40 male/female because of the action and the protagonists in the film.   

Introduction to Media

1.  The reason why I have chosen media is because my older brother recommended the subject to me. 

2. The part of the course that I am looking forward to the most will be unit 2 and unit 3 because those units will help me use my creativity to make something amazing.

3. The knowledge I want to learn is to use Photoshop and to edit videos.  

4. The grade which I want to achieve will be an A or B preferred one will be A.  

5. The last movie I have seen was guardians of the galaxy.

6. That really depends on the type of TV show/ movie because of the genre for example horror, romantic, action, act  

7. The last thing I have used for social media was my phone I was on twitter and YouTube.

8. I use my pc and phone to access  the media 

9. This film is SCI-FI because of the machines inside the film.

10. The opening scene of the film you can see a family which shows what type of movie it is by looking at the first thing that comes up on the film.
